The Consumer Protection Division enforces state antitrust and consumer protection laws, including the mini-Sherman Act, the state merger statute and the Unfair Trade Practices Act. The Division also implements the Attorney General’s authority to oversee charities and is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of the unauthorized practice of law, and tobacco enforcement.
