How to protect yourself from immigration scams

Warning

The unauthorized practice of immigration law is a big problem. Dishonest people pretend they are qualified to help with your immigration case. They charge hundreds or thousands of dollars. They may give bad legal advice or fill out a form incorrectly, which could hurt your immigration case.

Remember: their help only hurts.
