Maine State Library Development Director selected for the American Library Association (ALA) Leadership Institute

State Librarian, Linda Lord, is delighted to announce that Janet McKenney, Director of Library Development at the Maine State Library has been selected to participate in the American Library Association (ALA) Leadership Institute.
The institute is a unique four-day immersive leadership development program for current and future library leaders. It is being led by ALA President Maureen Sullivan and Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Content Strategist Kathryn Deiss, and will include a structured learning track and the opportunity for individual development.
The 40 participants selected include public, academic, and school librarians from across the United States and Canada. Maine Libraries will benefit greatly from McKenney’s participation.
