All training sessions below will be held over Teams. To register for any of the trainings please send an email to the provided link and include your name, agency, position related to RM, and name and date of program you are registering for. Training 1: Records Retentions, Dispositions and Writing Schedules and Amendments

Audience:  Records Officers

Dates and Times:    April 4 (Tuesday) 10:00-11:30 (Registration deadline: March 28) OR April 13 (Thursday) 1:00-2:30 (Registration deadline:  April 6)

This workshop is designed for those who have a basic knowledge of the Records Management process but still would like a better understanding of how to determine retentions for their records and whether their records should be archival or destroy once they have met their retention time. Recommended for any agency needing to develop records retention schedules for the first time; or those needing to review/revise their schedules; or for those agencies which have been restructured and will be doing major records updates. This workshop will include basic overview of inventory methods and how to complete the records retention schedule forms used by the Maine State Archives.

NOTE: This webinar will provide a basic overview of what is described above. If any agency needs step-by-step guidance with schedule revisions or setting up their schedules and inventory forms, please contact Records Management. We are available to work with agency Records Officers on a one-on-one basis.

Training 2: State Records Center – Transfer and Retrieval of Records

Audience:  Records Officers and Assistants (or additional agency cardholders)

Training 3: State General Schedules – Overview and Implementation

Audience:  All state employees (recommended for Records Officers and Assistants)
