Starting the week of July 19, construction crews will be working on roads in Augusta and Palermo.
Crews will first repave a section of Route 9 near Maine General Hospital. This roadwork is expected to last approximately four weeks, and work will be done at night. Crews will also be working nights repaving the intersection of Route 3 and the Church Hill Road in Augusta This intersection construction is expected to last two weeks.
During the days, crews will be paving a 3.25 mile section of Route 3 in Palermo between the Parmenter Road and the Arthur Plummer Road. Crews will first grind out the old pavement, then repave the milled-out road. This project is expected to be completed early this fall.
Starting August 2, night work will begin on two projects near the Augusta traffic circle, repaving the westerly intersection to Memorial Bridge and repainting the easterly entrance to the circle from Memorial Bridge. Work is expected to be completed by the early fall.
