Mexico-Peru Bridge Closure

Mexico-Peru ? Crews will be installing piping and conducting sewer work at the intersection of North Main Street and River Road (Route 2) forcing the full closure of the Mexico-Peru Bridge on Wednesday evening, August 29th. This work will start at 6:30 p.m. and continue overnight until 6:30 a.m.

Flaggers, detour signs and variable message boards will all help direct travelers along the detour route of approximately eight miles.

The contractor for this project, TY Lin International of Falmouth, expects to re-visit the site to complete the work on Wednesday, September 5th. This will result in another closure of this bridge from 6:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 7th. The same detour route will be established, with the assistance of flaggers, variable message boards and detour signs guiding motorists along the temporary route.
