Jurisprudence Examinations

An applicant seeking licensure must pass a written jurisprudence examination which is an “open book” examination aimed at testing an applicant’s knowledge of the Board’s regulations (statutes and rules) governing dental professionals. The passing score is 90 percent and failure to pass the jurisprudence examination after three (3) attempts may result in a preliminarily denial of licensure.

Below is a corresponding link to the jurisprudence examination required for each licensure category – further instructions on how to complete the examination is provided on each examination link. Please note that this is not an online examination. You must print, complete and mail in the required jurisprudence examination as part of your licensure application packet.
