There are a number of ways you can file a consumer complaint or ask us a consumer questions. When we receive your message, we will determine whether it is suitable to refer to our Consumer Mediation Service. The Attorney General's Consumer Mediation Service is a free service to Maine consumers who have a problem with a business.

In many cases, the best response is for us to provide you with practical information about how to resolve your problem. Here is how you can contact us:

Unfortunately, our phones are often busy. Each year we receive over 8,000 calls or letters. If our phone is busy consider using one of these other options to contact us.

The Maine Lemon Law
