Last Updated; February 19, 2014
Gallaudet University's Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center maintains an extensive set of directories of international, national and state resources on deafness. The following directories of various deafness-related resources are all maintained by the Clerc Center and each link leads to a page on the Clerc Center website:
Directory of National Organizations of and for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People
This directory was developed with information provided by each organization. All of the organizations are national and nonprofit
and provide information on deaf and hard of hearing people and/or specific professional or consumer areas of interest.
Statewide Services for People Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing
This list identifies two different types of statewide services:
(1) commissions or state offices mandated to serve people who are deaf and hard of hearing, and
(2) state coordinators of rehabilitation services for people who are deaf.
The state resources available on this web page provide information and referral or direct services to deaf and hard of hearing
