Notice Regarding License Verification Requests (PDF)

Effective March 1, 2019, the Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR) will no longer issue paper license verifications. License verifications are available, free of charge, on OPOR’s official database, https://www.pfr.maine.gov/ALMSOnline/ALMSQuery/Welcome.aspx?board=4210. This database is updated in real time as changes occur. The Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation considers this information to be a secure, primary source for license verification.

STATUTORY NOTICES

Pursuant to Title 10, §8003-G:

All licensees and applicants for licensure to report in writing to the office no later than 10 days after the change or event, as the case may be:

a. Change of name or address;

b. Criminal conviction;

c. Revocation, suspension, or other disciplinary action taken in this or any other jurisdiction against any occupational or professional license held by the applicant or licensee; or

d. Any material change in the conditions or qualifications set forth in the original application for licensure submitted to the office.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE 10-DAY NOTIFICATION REQUIREMENT MAY RESULT IN SANCTIONS AGAINST YOUR LICENSE.

NOTICE CONCERNING DELIVERY OF AUCTIONEER LICENSES
Auctioneer licenses are now delivered to licensees via email. The email sender is displayed as “noreply@maine.gov” and the subject as “YOUR OFFICIAL (license type) LICENSE IS ATTACHED”. Paper licenses will NOT be mailed to licensees with an email address on file with the Board.
You have the opportunity to update your contact information when you renew your license online or you may update your email address and other contact information anytime.
