Office of Licensing & Registration

The budget for Maine State Government requires all executive branch Departments, Agencies and Offices to be closed on July 6th, 2009. Many services offered by the Office of Licensing and Registration are available at www.maine.gov/professionallicensing.

The Office of Licensing and Registration ("OLR") is an umbrella agency consisting of 38 professional and occupational licensing boards and licensing programs administered by a staff of 57 employees. OLR protects the public against unqualified, incompetent and unethical practitioners through licensure, establishment of practice standards, inspection, complaint investigation and, when warranted, imposition of professional discipline.
