WHEREAS, on January 18, 2017 the Maine Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection (the Bureau) issued an order terminating the Debt Collector license of Praxis Financial Solutions, Inc. of Lincolnwood, Illinois, for failure to provide proof of valid surety bond despite several communications from the Bureau including a certified mail letter; and WHEREAS, on October 3, 2016 the Bureau sent to the above-named debt collector, a certified letter (which was signed for) requesting a replacement bond on or before November 3, 2016; and WHEREAS, there was no subsequent response from the collector; and
WHEREAS, on November 14, 2016 and on January 5, 2017, the Bureau contacted the above-named debt collector by telephone and spoke with Ashor Dekelaita, President of the above-named debt collector, who advised that he would check to see of the bond had been issued and would contact the Bureau to confirm, but the Bureau did not receive a letter, telephone call or replacement bond; and WHEREAS, on February 8, 2017, the Bureau received a replacement bond from the above-named debt collector with an effective date of October 15, 2016, with no lapse in coverage, and the above-named debt collector paid a reinstatement fee;
NOW THEREFORE, the Bureau hereby rescinds its Order of January 18, 2017 and reinstates the debt collector license for Praxis Financial Solutions, Inc. effective retroactive to November 3, 2016.

NOTICE OF APPEAL Any party aggrieved by this Order may appeal to the Superior Court pursuant to 9-A M.R.S. ?6-108(1) and 5 M.R.S. ??11001-11008 et seq., as applicable, within 30 days of receipt of this Order. Any other person aggrieved shall have 40 days from the date the Order was rendered to petition for review.
