AUGUSTA - The Maine House of Representatives voted to enact a bill Monday sponsored by Rep. Richard Evans, D-Dover-Foxcroft, that would help encourage job growth in Maine's forestry industry.

"This bill would encourage and reward the hiring of younger workers in order to help solidify the futures of small, woodland businesses. Legislature sends supplemental budget to governor's desk with overwhelming bipartisan support
AUGUSTA - Today, the Maine Legislature overwhelmingly voted to send a responsible supplemental budget to the governor’s desk to be signed into law. The vote was 119-16 in the House and 32-2 in the Senate.
