AUGUSTA - The Maine Legislature voted unanimously this week to enact a measure from Rep. Kelly Noonan Murphy, D-Scarborough, to protect Maine workers who need to care for a sick grandparent or great-grandparent.
AUGUSTA - The Maine House and Senate voted unanimously on Wednesday to advance legislation sponsored by Rep. Kelly Noonan Murphy, D-Scarborough, that would increase access to electric breast pumps for MaineCare recipients.
As amended, LD 603 would allow eligible MaineCare recipients to obtain electric breast pumps and supplies when they are prescribed or recommended by a health care provider without needing prior approval from MaineCare.

Under the amended proposal, all diapers and diaper accessories, such as covers and pins, would receive the exemption.
AUGUSTA - The Maine House unanimously voted Tuesday to advance LD 287, An Act to Support Parents by Providing a Sales Tax Exemption for Diapers. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Kelly Noonan Murphy, D-Scarborough.
The bill was amended in the House to include a sales tax exemption for adult diapers. Under the amended proposal, all diapers and diaper accessories, such as covers and pins, would receive the exemption.
