AUGUSTA – Rep. Amy D. Kuhn, D-Falmouth, has been appointed to serve as House chair of the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to continue my work on the Judiciary Committee, where my colleagues and I will work hard to protect the rights of all Mainers and address the challenges facing our state’s justice system,” said Kuhn. “This session, we plan to tackle tough issues like data privacy and public safety head-on to create a safer and more secure environment throughout our state. I am honored to have been appointed chair, and I look forward to building on the progress that we made in the 131st Legislature."
Kuhn, who has served on the committee for two years, was appointed chair by House Speaker Ryan Fecteau.
Kuhn is serving her second term in the Maine House and represents part of Falmouth.
