Governor Mills Declares December 1, 2021 World AIDS Day in Maine

Governor Janet Mills signed a proclamation declaring today, December 1, 2021 as World AIDS Day in Maine and issued the following statement:

“On this World AIDS day, let us remember those who lost their lives to AIDS and honor and support those living with and affected by HIV, including the more than 1,600 people here in Maine,” said Governor Janet Mills. “Those who live with HIV are often our friends, family, and neighbors. Together, let us rededicate ourselves to raising awareness to fight HIV, prevent its spread, and, ultimately, end the epidemic.”
