In anticipation of an overnight storm system that is forecast to bring freezing rain during the Tuesday morning commute, Governor Mills has directed state offices to open on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
Governor Janet Mills announced today that she will nominate accomplished small business owner, attorney, and former lawmaker Heather Sanborn of Portland to serve as Public Advocate for the State of Maine.
If confirmed, Sanborn will succeed current Public Advocate Bill Harwood, who announced recently that he will retire at the end of January.
In anticipation of an "Alberta clipper" storm system arriving tonight that is expected to bring snow, mixed precipitation, and strong winds to much of Maine, Governor Mills has directed all State of Maine offices to open on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
