Department of Professional and Financial Regulation
Commissioner Head leads the Department of Financial Regulation’s efforts to protect the citizens of Maine through the regulation of State-chartered financial institutions, the insurance industry, grantors of consumer credit, the securities industry, and numerous professions and occupations providing services to the public. Prior to serving as Commissioner, a position she has held since 2011, Anne L. Head served as General Counsel of the Maine Health Care Finance Commission. She is a graduate of Ithaca College and Catholic University Law School. Prior to her service at the Maine Health Care Finance Commission, Anne acted as legal counsel to the Federal Election Commission in Washington, D.C.
