This map represents SAUs trained by the Maine School Safety Center. We have three types of training: our School Safety Specialist (SSS) program, Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) certification, and workshops (one hour, half day, and full day). The blue lines represent SAUs that have at least one person trained in the CSTAG method. Pink lines represent SAUs that have someone trained as a School Safety Specialist as of February, 2024. Purple lines represent SAUs that are both CSTAG trained and have a School Safety Specialist. Brown lines represent SAUs that have had at least one staff member trained by a workshop, but not CSTAG or SSS.
