Local Option Votes for the Sale and Service of Alcohol by Municipality

As required by 28-A MRSA §125, sub-§4, the Bureau is providing the voting results, if any, of a municipality’s local option voting record relating to the sale and/or service of all beverage alcohol for on-premises and off-premises consumption. This information is the Bureau’s final determination of authorized retail liquor establishments in each municipality as of the date noted on this page.

Note: As long as the municipality has voted affirmatively on Question 2 to allow the operation of agency liquor stores Monday through Saturday, the Sunday sales of spirits is governed by 28-A Section 353-A and does not require a local option vote.
