Treva deMaynadier, Maine Government Summer Internship Program 2015 intern in the Bureau of Employment Services, is a 2013 graduate of Waterville Senior High School majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Political Science at Oberlin College in Ohio. In this image Treva is interviewing a migrant farmworker at the Rakers' Center. Treva stated in her internship application, "I plan to return to Maine when I graduate and pursue work in public service." Treva conducted a Migrant Worker Demographic Survey in the field via interviews using a survey form. The demographics survey looks at family composition, living and working location prior to Maine, type of work prior to Maine, type of work/or activity while in Maine for each family member, anticipated destination post work in Maine, and anticipated work type post Maine. The survey also addresses a question on whether workers work with same employers along their migrating routes, including Maine, and for how long this has been occurring.
