AUGUSTA - The Maine House of Representatives voted to advance legislation sponsored by Rep. Vicki Doudera, D-Camden, that would require expert witnesses in child custody cases to meet training standards and demonstrate knowledge of domestic abuse and child resilience, safety and security.

Doudera bill to strengthen the qualifications of evaluators in family court cases receives unanimous, bipartisan committee support

AUGUSTA - The Legislature's Judiciary Committee voted unanimously last week to advance legislation sponsored by Rep. Vicki Doudera, D-Camden, that would require expert witnesses in child custody cases to have a certain level of training in domestic abuse and child resilience, safety and security.

Doudera joined by constituent as Legislature honors American Red Cross

Rep. Vicki Doudera, D-Camden, was joined at the State House on Tuesday by Sophie Piconi, a constituent and Executive Director of Central and Mid-Coast Maine's Red Cross.

March 2023 was recognized by the Maine Legislature as American Red Cross Month.
