AUGUSTA - The Legislature's Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee voted unanimously on Wednesday to advance emergency legislation sponsored by Rep. Anne Perry, D-Calais, aimed at removing the permit requirement for transporting wild blueberries.

AUGUSTA - Many Mainers in rural parts of the state struggle to access treatment for substance use disorder. Rep. Holly Eaton, D-Deer Isle, has proposed legislation to create a working group to examine the issue closely.
"Access to the medication a person needs when they are in recovery from substance use disorder is critical," said Eaton. "It hurts our neighbors and our community if folks seek help but cannot actually access it."
Rep. Mo Terry, D-Gorham, served as Speaker pro tempore of the Maine House of Representatives on Tuesday. Terry is serving her fourth term in the Maine House and represents part of Gorham. She serves as the House Majority Leader.

AUGUSTA - Rep. Nina Milliken, D-Blue Hill, will host constituent office hours in Trenton on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Trenton Town Office, located at 59 Oak Point Rd.
