AUGUSTA - The Legislature voted on Tuesday to enact LD 2006, a measure from Rep. Raegan LaRochelle, D-Augusta, that would help eligible households better access available heating assistance from Maine State Housing Authority's Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).
AUGUSTA - The Maine House voted Tuesday to give initial approval to a measure sponsored by Rep. Raegan LaRochelle, D-Augusta, that would safeguard state funding for public education. The vote was 99-38.

AUGUSTA - Rep. Raegan F. LaRochelle, D-Augusta, was sworn into office on Wednesday by Gov. Janet Mills after defeating Republican James Orr in a special election on November 2, 2021. LaRochelle now serves House District 86, the seat previously held by Rep. Justin Fecteau, who resigned in the spring.
Rep. Raegan LaRochelle, D-Augusta, and Rep. Bill Bridgeo, D-Augusta, welcomed members of the Cony High School Girls' Swim Team to the State House on Wednesday.
The team was recognized by the Legislature for winning the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Championship.

Rep. Raegan LaRochelle, D-Augusta, Rep. Bill Bridgeo, D-Augusta, and Sen. Matthew Pouliot, R-Kennebec, welcomed members of the Cony High School Girls' Basketball Team to the State House on Monday and presented them with a legislative sentiment.

Rep. Raegan LaRochelle, D-Augusta, nominated Mary Jeanette (Jan) Michaud and her late husband Victor Michaud to be inducted into Maine's Franco-American Hall of Fame on Tuesday.
The Michauds created an oral video history of Franco-American workers in Augustas mills called "Manufacturing Augusta" and raised $20,000 towards preserving the history of the Franco-Americans who worked in the mills.
