1.   Complaint – Late Campaign Finance Report by Senate Candidate Stan Gerzofsky

Four residents of Brunswick Maine have submitted a complaint alleging that a campaign finance report filed by State Senate candidate Stan Gerzofsky under-reported his payments to a local newspaper, The Cryer, for campaign advertising.  Mr. Gerzofsky described his spending to the staff of the Commission, which has amended the report on his behalf.  The complainants request that a civil penalty be assessed because Mr. Gerzofsky filed a campaign finance report that did not substantially conform to the disclosure requirements in campaign finance law.

Motion:  Find that the 11-Day Pre-Primary report was filed four days late but defer consideration of a penalty until Mr. Gerzofsy has had an opportunity to request a waiver of the late-filed report penalty.
