New Training for Providers +

New training for providers. Representative from the provider community met in Portland, Augusta and Bangor to review changes in the recently amended Regulations for Licensing and Certifying of Substance Abuse Treatment Programs. Staff co-trainers from the Office of Substance Abuse and the Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services [Community Services Programs] rolled out the training that focused on the new co-occurring treatment approach for persons who receive both mental health and substance abuse treatment and the protocols for opioid treatment programs. The rules took effect February 29, 2008.
