Maine’s Spirits Industry Representatives to be Recognized by Secretary of State Charles E. Summers, Jr. For Their Contributions to Young Driver Safety

AUGUSTA – On Friday, April 6, 2012 Secretary of State Charlie Summers will hold a press conference in his office at the Nash School Building, 103 Sewall St., 2nd Floor at 1:00 p.m. ?to recognize Maine Beverage, White Rock Distilleries, MS Walker, Sidney Frank Importing and Cold River for contributing the funds needed to purchase 500 copies of the video, ?Point of No Return.?

?Point of No Return? was produced locally by Video Creations, a Kennebunk video production company, and stars Kennebunk High School students. The video provides a powerful lesson for young people on the dangers of drinking and driving.

Secretary Summers is presenting a copy of this video to each of the high schools he brings his message of Young Driver Safety Awareness to and is making this video available, free of charge, to all high schools across Maine.  Secretary Summers is also encouraging all schools to show this video to the entire student body in an effort to promote the dangers of Drinking and Driving during prom and graduation season.
