The Community Resilience Partnership (CRP) provides grants and technical assistance to communities in Maine to help them identify and address local priorities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, transition to clean energy, and become more resilient to climate effects such as extreme storms, flooding, rising sea levels, and threats to public health.

How does CRP support communities in Maine?
- The CRP offers grants and technical assistance to help communities reduce carbon emissions and increase resilience in alignment with the strategies outlined in Maine Won’t Wait, the State’s Climate Action Plan.
- Participation in the Community Resilience Partnership is open to all municipalities, federally recognized Tribal Governments, and unorganized territories in Maine.
- Once enrolled in the CRP, communities have access to local planning assistance through the CRP Regional Coordinator Program to prioritize actions and identify funding opportunities, and Community Action Grants and other grant programs to receive funding to implement the priority actions.
- The benefits of joining the Partnership include access to funding opportunities, help with project development and grant writing, trainings on important topics, and peer-to-peer learning events.
