Past Awards and Case Studies

Since the program was established in 2021, nearly 300 cities, towns, Tribal governments, plantations and unorganized territories in Maine have chosen to participate in the Partnership. The program has awarded over $20 million in Community Action Grants, Service Provider Grants, and Energy Efficiency Priorities Grants for nearly 350 climate resilience and emissions reduction initiatives in communities in all 16 Maine counties.

Communities around Maine are using CRP decisive action on climate change, such as installing clean energy such as solar arrays to power municipal operations, weatherizing public buildings, replacing inefficient heating and cooling systems, preparing climate action plans, and assessing and improving vulnerable infrastructure.
