2023 Survey Information

The 2023 Maine Integrated Youth Health Survey is returning to the normal timeline of winter of odd-numbered years after being postponed to the fall in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2023 surveys will be administered January through March 2023 for students in grades 5 through 12. 

 

Steps to prepare your school for MIYHS:

Step 1:

Decide how (online or paper ) and when you will administer MIYHS at your school.

 

Step 2:

Send your spreadsheet containing enrollment figures for each classroom, your "class list", to miyhs@panatlanticresearch.com at least 2 weeks before survey administration at your school.

 

Step 3:

Complete the online knowledge review for MIYHS Coordinators covering the Administration Handbook for school MIYHS coordinators.

Step 4:

Send your parent consent letter to parents/guardians at least two weeks, but no more than six weeks, prior to your school's scheduled survey administration date.

 

Step 5:

As soon you receive survey materials, check every classroom survey packet against your school's "MIYHS Classroom Enrollment Confirmation Forms."

 

Step 6:

Train your classroom teachers on how to administer the survey.

Step 7:

Administer the survey.

 

Step 8:

If you administered paper surveys, please return the completed surveys to Pan Atlantic Research by the end of March 2023.
