Non-Disciplinary Actions

In addition to disciplinary actions the Board may also take non disciplinary actions. Non disciplinary actions are in the form of:

Letters of Guidance - Letters of Guidance are issued when it is determined that there is evidence to support a complaint, but the evidence does not rise to a level where disciplinary sanctions are warranted. In the Letters of Guidance, the Board notes its concerns and offers recommendations for avoiding similar problems in the future. The letters are public and may remain in the licensee's file for up to ten years.

Please contact the Board at (207) 287-3601 to find out if a licensee has a Non Disciplinary Action.
