Fall Fun Weekend

Date: October 21, 2023 - October 22, 2023

We have a whole weekend of fall fun planned for Saturday and Sunday, October 21-22 at Maine Wildlife Park!

Fall is an incredible time to watch wildlife in Maine, and a unique time to witness seasonal routines of native species right here at the Park. The moose and deer are sporting huge antlers, the beaver is extra busy preparing for winter, and the bears are eating lots of snacks to fatten up before their seasonal slumber.

Our autumn and wildlife themed lawn games go hand in hand with beautiful fall Maine weather and are great fun for the whole family.

The Park-wide scavenger hunt adds a twist to your self-guided tour, and you might just find some treats along the way.

Think you know how much moose antlers weigh? Make a guess for a chance at a prize!

The presentations by Park staff, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW) educators, and MDIFW biologists are sure to be the highlights of the weekend. Come learn about bats, owls, other nocturnal critters, and the scientists who study them!

10:30am: Bat Biology with MDIFW Biologist, Cory Stearns, and MDIFW Education Supervisor Laura Rogers
11:00am: Owls are a Hoot! With Maine Wildlife Park Keeper, Zach Alvarez
1:00pm: Bat Biology with MDIFW Biologist, Cory Stearns, and MDIFW Education Supervisor, Laura Rogers
3:00pm: Creatures of the Night with MDIFW Education Supervisor, Laura Rogers

THIS EVENT IS TAKING PLACE RAIN OR SHINE!

The admission gate will be open 9:30 am - 3:30 pm (visitors can stay until 5:00 pm). All event activities are included with admission!
See you there!
