AUGUSTA - A bill from Rep. Ann Matlack, D-St. George, which clarifies state law for municipal assessors and property owners and improves the fairness of valuations across the state became law Tuesday.
AUGUSTA - Gov. Janet Mills recently signed into law a bill sponsored by Rep. Laura Supica, D-Bangor, that reforms the state's adult use marijuana tracking system.
Maine's adult use regulations previously called for a plastic tracking "tag" to be placed on every plant or, in the case of marijuana products, every "item". The system incurred significant financial and personnel costs for small businesses and resulted in unnecessary plastic waste across the industry.
