House District

Rep. Ed Crockett is serving his fourth term in the Maine House of Representatives. He sits on the Taxation Committee and the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee.

A Portland native, Crockett was born and raised on Munjoy Hill. He earned undergraduate degrees in journalism and broadcasting from the University of Maine at Orono and later earned a Master of Business Administration from Boston College.

House District

Rep. Drew Gattine is serving his fifth non-consecutive term in the Maine House of Representatives. 

Gattine is a health care consultant with over 30 years of experience implementing and operating programs designed to deliver more fair, effective and efficient health care. He is a national expert on the topic of health care fraud, waste and abuse, and has presented at numerous national conventions and meetings. He is also a former state assistant attorney general. 

House District

Rep. Deqa Dhalac is serving her second term in the Maine House representing part of South Portland. She is a member of the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee.

In 2021, more than 30 years after first coming to the U.S. to flee civil war in Somalia, she became the first Somali-American mayor in the country. She is the co-founder of Cross-Cultural Community Services and formerly worked as the assistant executive director at Gateway Community Services in Portland. 

House District

Rep. David Sinclair is serving his second term in the Maine House of Representatives. He sits on the Judiciary Committee and has previously served on the State and Local Government Committee. 

Sinclair runs a Bath-based law practice where he focuses on services for the underprivileged. He has served two terms on the Bath City Council and volunteered on multiple local boards and committees, including the Bath Area Food Bank, Two Bridges Regional Jail Authority and the Governing Council of the New Lawyers Section of the Maine State Bar Association.

House District

Rep. Dan Shagoury worked as a legislative aide in the State House for 19 years before recently retiring and running for office. He is currently serving his second term in the House. 

An active community member, he served for 15 years on the board of the Hubbard Free Library, nine years on the SAD 16 School Board as a representative for Hallowell and eight years on the board of directors for the nonprofit Consumers for Affordable Health Care.

House District

Rep. Dan Sayre is serving his second term in the Maine House of Representatives. He is a member of the Taxation Committee.

House District

Rep. Dan Ankeles is serving his second term in the Maine House representing part of Brunswick. He is a member of the Transportation Committee and the Environment and Natural Resources Committee.

Prior to becoming a lawmaker, Ankeles worked as a legislative aide, a public radio producer and a campaign organizer. He formerly served as an at-large member of the Brunswick Town Council for five years.

House District

Rep. Cheryl Golek is serving her second term in the Maine House of Representatives. She is a member of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee and the Joint Select Committee on Housing.

A lifelong resident of Maine, Rep. Golek was born and raised in the district she now represents. She and her life partner of 27 years, Johanna Wigg, have four children, including two adult sons and two young daughters. In 1998, Rep. Golek and Johanna founded The Vicarage By The Sea, an alternative model of care for those living with Dementia.

House District

Rep. Charles Skold is serving his second term in the Maine House.

In his professional life, Skold trains business leaders in the practice of negotiation. He has previously worked with educational organizations that equip municipal leaders with skills for cross-sector collaboration and worked in religious ministry as a college advisor. 

An active member of his community, Skold volunteers with the Portland Climate Action Team, the St. Luke’s Public Policy and Environmental Action Team and Greater Portland Family Promise. 

House District

Rep. Art Bell is serving his third term in the Maine House of Representatives, where he sits on the Environment and Natural Resources Committee. He believes we must balance the issues of a changing climate, affordable housing, economic development and an aging population. Prior to serving in the Legislature, he worked for 30 years in corporate finance.
