Julia Trujillo Luengo serves as Director of the Office of New Americans, where she leads work to strengthen Maine's workforce and economy by advancing opportunities for immigrant communities across Maine. Previously, she served as Strategic Planning Management Director at the Maine Community College System and as co-chair of the ONA Advisory Council. She has also held several leadership roles in state government, including overseeing the implementation of Maine’s Economic Development Plan, directing the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services and the Maine Migrant Education Program at Maine Department of Education.

Trujillo Luengo has a master’s degree in international economic development from the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Southern Maine.
