In 2025, all Probation Officers will complete training in:

  1. New Law Updates 
  2. MARC
  3. Firearms
  4. Case Management (broadly speaking - can meet that through any number of different trainings like MI, PREA refresher, etc.)
  5. DOC or Regional Choice: Professionalism & Ethics (currently DOC-wide training)

In 2026, all Probation Officers will complete training in:

  1. New Law Updates 
  2. MARC
  3. Firearms
  4. Case Management 
  5. DOC or Regional Choice: OPR Policy Update (this is currently slated to be a DOC-wide course for 2026)

In 2027, all Probation Officers will complete training in:

  1. New Law Updates 
  2. MARC
  3. Firearms
  4. Case Management 
  5. DOC or Regional Choice: TBD
