Bangor/Brewer ? Officials from MaineDOT will be holding a public meeting to discuss the impacts to motorists during the painting of the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge in Bangor.
This public meeting will be on Wednesday, August 8th at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Bangor City Hall located at 73 Harlow Street.
The Chamberlain painting project, scheduled from March of 2013 through the first of November 2013, will necessitate the closure of one lane on the bridge from Brewer into Bangor. Because no traffic will be allowed on the bridge from Bangor into Brewer, detour signs will divert motorists to both the Penobscot Bridge and I-395.
MaineDOT strongly encourages motorists who utilize this route to attend the public meeting with questions, concerns and comments.
