Grand Isle Bridge Work

GRAND ISLE - The Maine Department of Transportation will be replacing a culvert under the Soucy Bridge in Grand Isle. This bridge carries Route 1 over Thibodeau Brook in Grand Isle a little more than one mile south of the Madawaska town line. We will be replacing an old culvert with a new, precast concrete box culvert. Work is scheduled to begin on July 7th and end by August 13th. Drivers should expect a single lane traffic pattern, controlled by signals. The contractor on this project is Gordon Contracting out of Sangerville. The contract amount is $1,310,802.
