Testing for COVID-19

Individuals who exhibit those symptoms are advised to contact medical providers before going to a health care facility. Medical providers will make initial determinations about who should be tested. The Maine CDC is conducting COVID-19 testing at the state's Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory. Maine CDC has and will continue to inform the public of positive tests and will offer regular updates on testing recommendations. Test results are posted to Maine CDC's coronavirus webpage. The number of requests for testing will increase as the COVID-19 situation continues to rapidly evolve globally and in the United States. MaineCare members who are tested for COVID-19 will not be charged for these tests.
