Adopted rule changes amend 10-144 CMR ch. 265, formerly entitled Drug Testing Laboratory Rules, to be consistent with updates to the Maine Department of Labor’s (DOL) best practices and statute (26 MRS ch. 7, subch. 3-A -Substance Use Testing). The adopted rule is consistent with the proposed rule. Changes include: 1) updates to protocols in Section 2 of the rule specific to the collection of hair, oral fluids and sweat patches for drugs; 2) revised cut-off levels for substance-use tests to be consistent with current levels established by the U.S.

AUGUSTA— The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced today that Maine people can now visit CoverME.gov to shop for and enroll in 2024 coverage that fits their needs at a price that works during the Open Enrollment Period that kicks off today, November 1, 2023.

The Office of Aging and Disability Services is excited to announce a virtual training opportunity, De-escalation Training, scheduled for November 15, 2023. This training is being provided under collaboration with National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Maine and is available for caregivers providing care to Section 19 members. Caregivers can include personal support staff, attendants, home health aides, nurses, or other natural and family supports.

The EVV requirements for Home Health providers delivering services under Section 40 were implemented on January 1, 2023.

We continue to offer weekly provider and aggregator trainings. All trainings are online via Microsoft Teams.

NOTE:  The Absorb training system has been updated to allow providers to register for trainings more than once.
