Forest Management and Vernal Pools - Houlton & Hammond

This hands-on three hour course will be outside and will focus on the biology and identification of vernal pools as well as the forest management guidelines for working near these sensitive natural features. The intent of this session is to examine vernal pools up close in the woods and discuss how to integrate the protection of these resources into forestry practices. Class size will be limited to 20 people.
