Avenza Maps is a popular app used by outdoor enthusiasts, landowners, hikers, and professionals to navigate in the field, and record GPS data on a georeferenced pdf map. Avenza Maps uses your devices GPS location services to access your location, regardless of cell service. Avenza Maps can be used on Android, iOS, and Window devices. Geospatial PDF Maps are available from the Avenza Map Store, or you can import your own maps.

At this workshop participants will be introduced to Avenza Maps and some of its common uses. Topics covered during the workshop will include importing maps, collecting waypoints and tracks, measuring distance and area, and exporting data.
