Please join us for a Stewardship Forester & Tree Farm Inspector workshop, Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Moore Community Center, 125 State St, Ellsworth. The meeting will run from 9AM - 5PM with the option to attend Stewardship (AM & early afternoon), Tree Farm Inspector training (afternoon), or both.
The morning's agenda will include information on the WoodsWise program, Woodland Resource Action Plans, lunch, and the WoodsWise East program. WoodsWise East is a program which, for a limited time, significantly increases incentives for WRAPs for landowners in eastern portions of Maine. Consulting foresters who wish to offer these services to their clients should plan to attend this workshop. The program emphasizes management options for habitats, especially early- and late-successional bird habitats, as well as stream connectivity for eastern brook trout.
COFFEE WILL BE PROVIDED. LUNCH WILL BE OFFERED AT NO COST TO PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE ATTENDING MORNING & AFTERNOON SESSIONS.
Following the afternoon break, participants will have the option to attend Tree Farm Inspector training, presented by Logan Johnson of Maine Tree.
Continuing Education credits (LF credits pending from SAF) will be sent to participants email following completion of the workshop. This project and event have been made possible by a grant, from the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation.
