This workshop is intended for foresters, loggers, and landowners and will provide a basic understanding of Maine's timber harvesting rules. The emphasis is on rules concerning water quality, clearcutting, liquidation harvesting, and forest operations notifications. The workshop will not cover laws/rules enforced by the Forest Protection Division/Forest Rangers. Participants will receive a copy of the MFS publication, "The Forestry Rules of Maine."
The workshop will begin with sign-in and refreshments at 8:30, presentations begin at 9:00. Attendance is limited to 35 persons and pre-registration is required. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Continuing Education:
- QLP 4 credits
- CLP 1 day
- SAF/LF - 3.5 hrs. (Category 1)
- Master Logger 5 credits.
