Join the Waldo County Soil and Water Conservation District, Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, Maine Forest Service, and Maine Woodland Owners for an interactive, hands-on workshop on gravel road design, soil mechanics, and water quality protection.
Led by retired State Soil Scientist Dave Rocque, alongside state forestry agencies, and water quality specialists, this event combines morning classroom discussion with an extensive field tour across active road sites at Frye Mountain Wildlife Management Area.
Registration is $10/person to help cover the speaker's fee. There is only room for 25 people, so please register ASAP. Those who do not register will not be able to attend or participate. Please bring your lunch, water, and sturdy footwear.
