Woodland owners in Maine steward their forests for a variety of reasons, among them aesthetics, firewood, recreation, wildlife, maintaining health, diversity, and forest products. The Landowner 101 course will cover topics and information to help guide woodland stewards through the sustainable management of their forest. Participants will hear from various natural resources professionals and organizations during the 5-day course. Maine Forest Service District Foresters Steve McDonald and Allyssa Gregory will lead the sessions.

A field day will follow at a later date.
