Curious about how to start and mange a Christmas tree farm?

Please join the Upper Kennebec Valley chapter of the Maine Woodland Owners for a day of learning with Christmas Tree Farmer Matthew Quinn at his farm in Corville Maine. We will cover topics such as planting, pruning, maintenance, and harvesting. This event is meant to be an introduction to Christmas tree farming and how it can be done for a hobby or a business. Also on hand will be Maine Forest Service District Forester Jason Hilton to provide information about getting started and answer questions. The event is from 9 to noon on August 15 at 290 West Ridge Road in Cornville. Please bring a lawn chair to relax in as you learn the in's and outs of growing Christmas trees.
