Join Maine Forest Service District Foresters Allyssa & Jared Gregory at the Maine Woodland Owners-Brann Memorial Forest in Somerville for Tree ID Day! Participants will be guided through a portion of the memorial forest to learn about Maine's common forest trees and how to identify them.
Please dress accordingly and wear good hiking shoes. Bring your insect repellent of choice.
Location Description: The Cecil and Virginia Brann Memorial Forest is located on Turner Ridge Road in Somerville, about mile north of Route 105. The forest is divided into 2 lots by the Turner Ridge Road. The lot to the west of the Turner Ridge Road is approximately 175 acres, and the lot to the east is about 70 acres.
