Live staking uses dormant cuttings from native trees and shrubs that root quickly and stabilize soil - a simple, effective restoration technique you can use at home or in your community.

What to Expect:

  • Learn how live stakes reduce erosion and improve habitat and water quality
  • Guidance from Maine Forest Service District Foresters Allyssa Gregory and Jared Gregory
  • Hands-on planting demonstration
  • Practical techniques you can apply at home.

All tools provided. Please wear appropriate footwear for wet trails.
