Jan. 10 System Upgrade Complete; Maine Job Bank and Unemployment Systems Available for Claim Filing Bookmark and Share

January 10, 2016

The Department of Labor?s unemployment claims filing system and the Maine Job Bank resumed operations at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 10. The systems are available for individuals to register on the Maine Job Bank and file claims. As a reminder, first-time claimants must have completed their Maine Job Bank registration and use the online filing system or call to speak with a customer service representative to file their claim later this week. The interactive phone system does not take first-time claims. **Expect long wait times on the phones if you need to speak to a customer service representative on Monday, January 11; you may want to plan on calling on Tuesday or later in the week.** We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Department of Labor?s unemployment claims filing system and the Maine Job Bank will be unavailable for most of Sunday, January 10 due to statewide system maintenance. Although the Department expects to resume normal operations by 5 p.m. on the afternoon of January 10, we recommend that you plan to access the online or interactive phone system on Monday, January 11, 2016, to avoid complications to your filing.

If the system comes online ahead of schedule, this notice will be updated.
